OUR PLAY…
At Tree House Preschool we put together a learning play environment for children; giving them the opportunity to take risks and try on new learning.
What better way to develop imagination than in play! When being imaginative, not only do children develop their creativity, they learn to be flexible thinkers, develop core social skills: collaboration, negotiation, self regulation, problem solve, and empathy.
PLAY gives children what they need NOW, which helps them prepare into people for what comes next.
You may look at this structure and only see magnets with blocks put together. For our friend at Tree House Preschool, this means SO MUCH MORE! The magnets were used to build a school and the blocks were teachers and children.
OUR CONSTRUCTIVE PLAY…
Each month our teacher directed activities focus on different goals helping our students develop and practice new skills: fine motor, following direction, hand-eye coordination, turn taking, communication and gross motor (just to name a few).
In this way, constructive play leads children’s minds to invent and discover new possibilities.
