Curriculum
We believe children learn best through play with structured and non-structured play. We do this by changing our tables at Tree House Preschool weekly according to our themes and the centers every month. Learning through play helps children's creativity, social skills, negotiation, problem-solving, confidence, and more. In our free play, we incorporate sensory play, loose parts and block center, puzzle center, dramatic play, numeracy and literacy center, and so much more.
We primarily follow three evidence-based curriculums throughout the year to prepare our Preschool friends for kindergarten and promote their social-emotional learning.
We Thinkers!
We Thinkers! helps build a solid foundation for preschoolers' social-emotional learning. It teaches children how their words and actions can impact others and teaches them to be empathetic and understand others from their different perspectives. The concepts taught each month supplements the later concepts. This is an excellent curriculum that will aid them throughout their lives.
Zones Of Regulation
Zones of Regulation helps children understand their emotions and self-regulate. Zones of Regulation uses cognitive behavior approach by categorizing different and complex states of emotions called "Zones." The framework provides children with calming techniques, cognitive strategies, and sensory support to be aware of their impulses and emotions to regulate them better.
Learning Without Tears
This is a kindergarten readiness curriculum. Children learn about numbers and letters through music, building and playing with their favorite character, Mat Man. This curriculum starts when our students are in Preschool and is carried on to Pre-K. Learning without tears helps our students' gross and fine motor skills, number and letter recognition, which will help them in kindergarten.
